Quick Start
- Download, install and start the program.
- Click the [2)
Catalog] button on the Cataloger screen.
Let the program run.
Then, see your results:
- click [OK] when cataloging finishes
- the Library Master screen will display your results
- you'll see a list of files that were found on your system
- to launch a file, click the [Launch] button (or right-click a file's row and then
click Launch in the submenu)
- to sort/search, either

- sort/search a column by clicking its column header, then type a search
string (except for dates and times, which can't be searched here, only sorted), or
- search one or more columns by dragging column values down to the search list and
clicking the [Search] button, or
- search all by entering a search string and
clicking the [Search All] button (New in 2.0)
- to change an item's information, click the [Change] button, make
changes and save
To expand archives (meaning, to catalog their compressed contents), on the Cataloger screen check
the Expand archives[ ] check box, then click [2) Catalog]
(New in 2.0)
To harvest metadata (New in 2.0), you must have Java running on
your computer. If unsure, click the [Test Java] button. This will tell you if Java is running on your
computer. If it is not, it will let you install it. When Java is running, click the [Harvest
metadata now] button. This step is optional and may take a few minutes, especially the first
time you catalog and there may be a lot of content to process. To do this automatically when cataloging
in the future, check the Harvest metadata while cataloging[ ] check box.
